About Me
I am a highly experienced Specialist Oncology Physiotherapist. I was one of the first physiotherapists to specialise in Sarcoma 18 years ago at Leeds Institute of Oncology, during which time I further developed my knowledge and expertise in all types and stages of cancer.
Specialising as a surgical
staff nurse and subsequently as a physiotherapist, I believe that having a warm empathetic manner and being able to listen well has, in my experience, one of the greatest impacts on a person’s quality of life.
I am passionate that all cancer patients receive appropriate tailored support and guidance to help them take back control, to improve their physical and emotional strength to help them to get on with living.
My specialist interests are in providing a tailored programme of surgical care, exercise prescription for those affected by cancer before, during or after their treatment. This Includes those that may be palliative and/or are experiencing common symptoms of fatigue, peripheral neuropathy, scar management and cording. I have specialist knowledge and experience in all cancer types but have trained more extensively in Sarcoma (bone and soft tissue), Mesothelioma, and Breast Cancer.

- BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy
- Registered nurse specialising in gut, orthopaedics, and plastic surgery (9yrs)
- Clinical Specialist in Sarcoma for 15 years
- Pinc and Steel cancer rehab qualification
- Pilates (APPI)
- Ambassador for 5K Your Way in Leeds
- Volunteer for West Yorkshire Cancer Alliance
- Kinesio taping in the treatment of cancer symptoms
- Obair UK FCE (Functional Capacity Evaluation) and JDA (Job Demands Analysis)
